Course Cancellation Applied to all Location for in class

Helpline for CPR and First Aid may cancel any course due to low number enrolment or instructor illness, your registration will be transferred to another course at no charge or a full refund will be issued.

    • if you cancel the course 72 Hours prior to the day of training you will get refunded.

 

    • 20 $ administration fees will be applied to any refund due to your cancellation request.

 

    • if you cancel the course within 72 to 24 hours prior to the days of training we will refund you 50% the amount that you paid.

 

    • if you canceling in less than 24 hours we will not refund you anything because we have very limited spot due to COVID-19.

 

    • If you cancel your registration you need to contact us through email to issue a refund.

 

    • if you reschedule the course you can not ask for a refund later(contact us for more information) and you can reschedule only one time due to emergency at least one day before the training( Not on the morning of the training)

 

    • If you meet eligibility for rescheduling and want to reschedule course in the morning of your training day due to emergency, there will be a $20 administration fee for rescheduling.

 

    • No Show No Refund and No Credit.

Course Cancellation Policy for Blended Courses Only

    • No Rescheduling or Cancellation requests will be accepted until 3 days (72 hours) before in-class training date.

 

    • Rescheduling of in-class session is allowed before 3 days (72 hours) of original in-class course date for $20 administration fee.

 

    • There will be only 50% refund issued for cancellation requests before 3 days (72 hours) of original in-class course date.

 

Course cancellation Due to unexpected situations

    • even it is very rare, Helpline for CPR and First Aid reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule a course in the case of an emergency, instructor illness or low-class enrolment. In such an event, participants may choose either a full refund or transfer to another date.

 

    • Helpline for CPR and First Aid will attempt to notify participants of any cancellations within 24-48 hours prior to a course.

 

    • During the winter months, we will attempt to notify participants of any cancellations due to storm conditions at least 24 hours prior to a course.

 

Course Requirements:

    • Participants are required to attend the entire class, and participation is mandatory.

 

    • Participants are evaluated based on their ability to perform the skills during the course, in addition to a written multiple-choice test.

 

    • Refunds will not be provided for unsuccessful attempts.

 

    • If you are late more than 20 minutes for ANY course you will NOT be permitted to attend the training. You will be required to reschedule and pay any associated fees with the booking. By registering a course with us, you are confirming that you WILL be able to attend the training and arrive on time.

 

    • We need 100% attendance for in-person courses in order to issue the respective course certificates.

 

Receiving the Certificate!

Approximately up to 7 business days after your course, you will receive an email from the Canadian Red Cross inviting you to create a profile on the My Red Cross website. Your online certificate will be available to view, download and print AFTER you create your profile and login. Please contact us if you have any difficulty retrieving your certification.

We take customer privacy seriously and do not sell or give out any customer information. Your privacy is extremely important to us. The trust placed in us by our customers is absolutely essential to our success. We understand that and do all we can to earn and protect that trust. We do not share your personal information with any outside companies. We do share your personal information with the Canadian Red Cross and Heart and stroke Foundation as required by our contractual agreements with these non-profit organizations.

COVID-19 Update

During lockdown we are open with limited seats

The morning of the course, if you are feeling ill or showing any signs or symptoms Of COVID-19 you don’t have to attend the class. Give us a call and we will put your booking on hold. After you have isolated for 14 days, please email us and we will reschedule your booking at no extra cost.

  • Runny Nose
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Nausea/vomiting or diarrhea
  • Pink Eye
  • Extreme fatigue

The day of your course, please aim to arrive to the training facility 15 minutes before your class time. When you arrive you will see a notice on our training room door to wait outside the training room. You will be asked to wait in a single file line keeping 6 feet apart from the other participants. The course instructor will survey each student one at a time before granting permission into the course. Upon entry, you will be guided to a hand sanitizing station and given a surgical face mask*. You, the other students and the instructor will be required to wear the face mask throughout the entire course. You will also be given gloves to be worn during the skills session of the course.

* Participants are allowed to bring their own Procedural or Surgical mask that is rated 95% or greater BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency). Personal masks that are homemade (cotton, polyester, etc.) will not be permitted.

During the course, you will be given a seat that is 6 feet apart from the other students. You will be given your own mannequin and training equipment to use throughout the course. All of our equipment is thoroughly disinfected before and after each and every use.

* PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to demonstrate various skills on another participant in the class. During this time, you will both be given new gloves and be required to keep your face mask on. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not register for a course. If you require to reschedule, please let us know. No fee will be applied. You will also be required to give two full breaths into your mannequin.

If a student becomes ill or starts to display any symptoms of COVID-19 during the course, the course will immediately end for everyone. The instructor will ask everyone to go home and isolate for 14 days. If you begin to feel unwell or believe you are displaying possible signs, please follow this self-assessment for COVID-19 from the Ontario Government https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
